Ray,

Yeterday was the first day the pond pump ran all day.

To recap I have your 145 watt panel, I live in North Florida, I have a 50 amp hour batteryaq dna twenty amp charge controller.

To which I added my Harbor Freight panels 45 watts.

So I should in theory have almost 200 watts.

Why did the system just keep up with running a 70 watt pump . Bright beautiful SUNNY day and it just kept pace.

No additional juice to charge the battery with started at just under 13 volts ended at 4 P.M. with just under 13 volts. Not impressed at all.

Thank you so very much.

Still My battery was close to only (50)% full at 4P.M. with a load from 10 A.M. -  4 P.M. of only 70 watts.

Hot Sunny day not a cloud in the sky!

Not to impressive from all of that solar array. I will add a battery to the system and see if anything changes.

 Walter

@Walter   I didn't see, at a quick glance, where you posted what your voltage on an individual DM Solar panel was. To know if any panel is doing it's job we only need to check the voltage on any individual panel. What is that number?

Walter how do you come to the 50% full assessment? From your earlier post your batteries stayed at 13 volts which is 100% for most 12 volt batteries

I'm NOT trying to be the brightest person here, BUT,

1, you have a 45 watt HF Panel & controller

and a  DM145  Watt panel with a 30 amp controller.

2.are they in (Parallel)? If so-your max Wattage just might be 45 watts ++?? the smaller unit, pulls down the larger unit,IE a 6 volt battery & a 12 volt Battery in parallel. voltage might be 8-10 volts till the 6 volt one explodes? depending on load.

3. without several meters & being there to do the testing of what's actually Happening,& your circuitry,Minus the 70 watts your consuming + resistance,IE;connections & wireing size & distance from panels to controller to battery,& Load.

my 2 cents---
