Just noticed the other day that our local Lowe's has the GE GeoSpring hot water heater on clearance (last year's model I believe). It might be a good candidate for replacing our old water heater in the future. Summers are often warm here and the heat pump function would be awesome for cooling down the the 1st floor.
In the winter, yes it is cold here in Virginia sometimes, but the water heater would be installed near our wood stove (same setup as the current water heater).
Has anyone else here bought one or had any experience with them and would they recommend them over any other water heating systems?
Here's a link to the new model (the old one is gone from online at Lowe's and was all gray I believe): GE GeoSpring
