"Sorry, of course this is your set up at camp. I wouldn't worry about the controller, let it go and do it's job. I worry about the battery bank and the food in the fridge. Since it's camp I would be hard pressed to not add a small…"

"John....are you living on this system or still just back up? Obviously if you are relying on it you do everything you can, even using the generator. But if it is still just back up and the battery is above 12 volts why do anything, leave it all…"

Dale Marshall replied to Christopher's discussion Nintendo Wii on solar??? Battery Power??
"Sounds like a good Idea, Only problem I see is that Most of those power packs have voltage regulation and your game system will not like the voltage  fluctuations. Find a way to keep the voltage regulated at that steady 12 volts. No…"

Nintendo Wii on solar??? Battery Power??

Here goes guys. Been doing some reading, want some input. Nintendo Wii power brick says 53 watts @ 120 volts input and 12 volt 3.7 amps output. My question:Why can't I modify a power plug and connect to charge controller through a 12 volt plug in with fuse?  Will this work? What do you guys think, makes sense to me. So I would be pulling 3.7 amps at 12 volts? Input as always is appreciated.  Thanks guys.See More

Dale Marshall replied to Christopher's discussion Air conditioner on solar?? Wish me luck.
"At  Minimum you need a 800 watt array to keep with a 5000 BTU A/C , Why you ask, because of the compressor cycling. The fan in the A/C doesnt require alot actually, Probably around 200 watts. But that ugly compressor can surge at 120 volt 12…"

"You are right about that.  I have looked at those DC AC's they are expensive, but worth it in the way of price both in your wallet and at the battery bank."
