Up date on what's happening @ my place in the woods.early October 2013. I put a 12--24 volt well pump 70 ft down in my  old "caved in well" 1/2" pipe tested pump on 12 v dc, yippie good clean water.got to take sample to the county but I have done home test it's fine.pump puts out 95 psi.got to add pressure switch, but this gives me emergency water if grid go's down..43 ft of water available in a 6" pipe.haven't pumped it all the way down to check recovery.but I have 40 gallon storage from this well.soon solar panel on the pumphouse roof to maintain battery.

I bought a second 12-24 vdc well pump it's only 1.6 GPM but that's plenty of water, right now it's a spare, but I might install it in # 2 well any way 1/2" output.

Bought (2) large square 275 Gallon tanks in metal cages--probably use them to capture rain water (non Potable) filter it & back into Toilet (only) for emergency (loss of grid) power.

total of 14 LED lights in the house now---power bill really come down---& that's only for lights.
